The Story

"Tracks of Mother Earth" Original artwork by Derick Peachey @derickpeacheyart “Tracks on Mother Earth”
This painting is a representation of the mountains and hills I used to walk when playing with my mob back in my hometown in Wellington. The dots symbolise footprints of my ancestors who walked these mountains for thousands of years before me. When walking these tracks my old uncle would tell me to feel Mother Earth between my toes. By connecting to Mother Earth you are connecting to your ancestors.
